Private Landowner Shoreline stabilization, Trent-Severn Waterway, Shoreline Works Permit 210241, Sparrow Lake, ON

Project involves shoreline protection of approximately 168m (550') with riprap to protect against wave action from boat traffic. There are trees along the shoreline tipping into the river because the earth below them has been eroded. Footprint is approximated to be 168 x 2.5m, for 420m². Approximately 1/3 of the footprint, or 140m² will be below the upper controlled navigation level.

May 26, 2022 – The public comment period on the project is closed. Parks Canada is considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
