Equestrian Outdoor Riding Arena at Wesley Clover Park

The Wesley Clover Park proposes the addition of an equestrian outdoor riding arena located at 401 Corkstown Road, Ottawa, Ontario. The project is intended to increase the number of services provided to their clientele.

The proposed project would take place on leased National Capital Commission lands. The project would be subject to a federal land use, design, and real estate transaction approval under the National Capital Act.

The new equestrian outdoor riding arena would measure 45 meters by 85 meters and would require the removal of grass and preparation of a granular sub-base. 

The proposed riding arena would be built on a vacant manicured grass field and built adjacent to the two equestrian outdoor riding arenas which are currently in use.

The construction is proposed for summer 2022. The construction process involves the removal of grass surface using heavy machinery, installation and preparation of the granular sub-base using heavy machinery, and final application of the riding surface using small construction vehicles.

No trees are expected to be removed or impacted during the preparation and use of this land.
