Underground Fuel Storage Tank Removal at NRC Montreal Road Campus

The National Research Council of Canada (NRC) is proposing to remove an existing gasoline fuel tank and the associated piping and fuel pumps. The equipment is no longer required and will not be replaced. The proposed project would take place on National Research Council Canada (NRC) owned lands, but is subject to a federal land use, design, and real estate transaction approval under the National Capital Act. The project area consists of a concrete apron with a concrete island for the pump. The intention is to remove both the island and apron and pave to match the surrounding area. No vegetation removal is anticipated for this project. It is planned to use this space for additional mailroom parking. The project work would take approximately two weeks from start to completion.
