Anishinaabeg of Naongashiing Sewage Lagoon

This project proposed by Anishinaabeg of Naongashiing will construct a new facultative sewage lagoon to replace the existing wastewater treatment plant in the community. The scope of the project includes:

  • Clearing new site location (on forested, undeveloped lands);
  • Excavation of new site and collection of piping trenches;
  • Building an access road to new wastewater treatment site;
  • Construction of a facultative lagoon and all required components;
  • Providing new gravity sewers and forcemains;
  • Installing a new effluent line that flows in Lake of the Woods; and
  • Upgrading existing lift station
