Proposed Electric Fence - Canadian Forces Base Suffield

The Department of National Defence (DND) is proposing the installation of a single strand electric fence for cattle grazing within the Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Suffield Range and Training Area. Wood posts will be installed at 45 foot intervals and two gates. The fence will be monitored and maintained bi-weekly.


Latest update

June 30, 2024 – The public comment period on the project is closed. The Department of National Defence is considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
