Fuel Tank Replacement and Pad Modifications - 5 Wing Goose Bay

The Department of National Defence (DND) is proposing a project which will include modifications of the existing fuel tank product transfer area concrete pads for storage tank systems located at various buildings. Some of the existing fuel tanks will be replaced. More specifically, one existing diesel containing fuel tank with a capacity of 9,208 liters will be replaced with a new double wall vacuum monitored 9,100-liter fuel tank. Additionally, seven diesel fuel tanks with a capacity of 455 liters will be replaced with new double wall diesel fuel tanks having a capacity of 454 liters each. Decommissioned fuel storage tanks will be permanently removed and disposed.
