Launchway Improvements, Port Au Choix, NL

DFO, Small Craft Harbour intends to partially remove and reinstate the existing concrete launchway. This will allow for the construction of two new docking cribs and gravel approach, which will be adjacent to the concrete launchway. The new cribs will be constructed in a new footprint using treated timber cribwork and will have a reinforced concrete deck. The gravel approach will require infilling and will sit atop shore protection constructed similar to a rubble mound breakwater structure using core stone, filter stone, armour stone, geotextile and Class A and B materials.
