Little Red River Housing Project MLG# 28404408 (3 Units)

Little Red River Cree Nation is proposing the installation of three 1672 square foot RTM housing rental units in the community of Fox Lake, Garden River and John D'or Prairie to support the Nation's housing needs. The RTM units will include 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a propane HV AC system, and the installation of cistern and septic tanks, power poles and masts. The homes are expected to have a lifespan of 40-plus years. The required land base for this project is 38,750 square feet per location. Vegetation clearing and grading for each site will be needed.

Latest update

March 3, 2026 – The public comment period on the project is closed. The Indigenous Services Canada is considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
