Tl'esqox First Nation - Telus Telecommunications Tower - Riske Creek, Toosey IR1

The Project includes construction of a 75 m triangular guyed Telus telecommunications tower, and installation of associated equipment including an 8' x 10' equipment shelter, and a 40 kW generator set. The tower and associated equipment will be constructed on a 20 x 20 m gravel pad compound area. A 12 m by 11 m gravelled access road will be constructed between the compound and existing dirt road. A chainlink fence will be constructed around the tower, generator, and shelter to prevent unauthorized access. The electrical routing extending from the tower will include: a new overhead power line that will extend along the dirt road from Tlesc'ox'eten Road to the compound area, and a short length of underground power between the end of the new overhead power line and the new shelter. The Project footprint is occurring within a grassland/rangeland area with scattered trees.

Toosey First Nation - Telus Telecommunications Tower - Riske Creek – Public Comments Invited

 

January 19, 2024 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed "Toosey First Nation - Telus Telecommunications Tower - Riske Creek", located near Becher House, British Columbia is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination.
