Storm Damage Repairs, Harbour Le Cou, NL

DFO, Small Craft Harbour is proposing complete repairs at the Harbour Le Cou SCH sites. The repairs will be completed at two different SCH sites. At site 1, the existing finger wharf will see replacements to fenders and the approach to ensure the continued safety of users.

 

At site 2, the breakwater site, the existing breakwater wharf will be demolished to L.N.T. and encased in armourstone.

Notice of Determination

November 6, 2023 – Fisheries and Oceans Canada - Small Craft Harbours and Transport Canada has issued a Notice of Determination after evaluation of the Harbour Le Cou project and has determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects with mitigation measures as outlined in their evaluation and can therefore proceed.
