East Block Interior Roads Stream Crossings Upgrades

Grasslands National Park is proposing to upgrade low-level stream crossings in the East Block of Grasslands National Park. These crossings are located along vehicle access routes that are maintained for local access, emergency response, and for operational purposes. Current condition of stream crossings will be assessed and upgrade options will be evaluated and implemented. Rock Creek in the East Block is habitat for the plains minnow, a species listed on Schedule 1 of the Species at Risk Act. It is possible work will occur in a tributary to Rock Creek or in Rock Creek. This project will be assessed with a basic impact assessment.
