Power System Replacement at Sand Hill River Counting Facility, Labrador
This is a non-designated project on federal lands or outside Canada. The listed authorities are responsible for the project assessment.
The proposed project at the Sand Hill River Counting Facility includes: the removal, relocation, and replacement of the electrical building; upgrades to the existing electrical systems; and the extension of the existing raised wooden walkway to facilitate access to the new electrical building. The new walkway will be installed on concrete blocks and raised above the ground with wood posts. The old electrical building will be demolished and removed. All materials will be disposed of at an appropriate disposal facility. The new electrical building will be installed in a similar fashion to the walkway – on concrete blocks and raised on wooden posts. The footprint of the new electrical building is approximately 20 square meters.
