Ksi Lisims LNG - Natural Gas Liquefaction and Marine Terminal Project

The Nisga'a Nation, Rockies LNG LP, and Western LNG LLC are proposing to develop a floating natural gas liquefaction facility and marine terminal, located at Wil Milit on Pearse Island, in British Columbia. As proposed, the Ksi Lisims LNG - Natural Gas Liquefaction Facility and Marine Terminal Project would process up to 22.4 billion cubic metres per year of liquefied natural gas and be in operation for up to 40 years. Natural gas would be transported to the site via a natural gas transmission pipeline originating in northeastern B.C.

The impact assessment was substituted to the Government of British Columbia on April 6, 2023. Information on the project review is available on British Columbia’s Environmental Assessment Office’s website. Once the Government of British Columbia completes the impact assessment for the project, it will be submitted to the Minister of Environment and Climate Change to support the federal project decision.
