AltaGas Ltd. is proposing to erect a temporary 32.3m lattice radiocommunications tower at the REEF marine export terminal located on Ridley Island, BC. The purpose of the tower is to provide radio coverage for initial construction work on site. The tower will be mounted on a trailer and will contain one UHF (450-470 MHz) collinear omnidirectional antenna. The tower may undergo periodic antenna additions, replacements, or other minor modifications.

2024-08-15 – Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada intends to make a determination regarding whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada is inviting public comments until 2024-09-17 respecting that determination.
