Task Force Latvia - Camp Adazi Ammunition Handling Area

The Department of National Defence (DND) has proposed a project. Expansion of an existing Latvian facility that became an Ammunition Handling Area (AHA). The project consists of a gravel pad and workshop, with fencing and lightning protection. The area currently has a gravel road, trees and sand. The new expansion, to the existing gravel pad, will be approximately 30 m x 70 m (2100 m2).

February 19, 2026— The authorities issued their Notice of Determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
