Kashechewan First Nation - 20 Lot Development

 Kashechewan First Nation proposes the development of 20 lots with future use to build family homes for the community. The developed lots will be 929.03 meters squared in size. 

This project is located on undeveloped lands at the above coordinates. Site preparation will include:

  • Clearing, grubbing and granular placement; and
  • Servicing of lots including water and sewer lines, fire hydrants, hydro poles and power lines.

Latest update

November 17, 2023 - The public comment period on the project is closed. Indigenous Services Canada issued its notice of determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause adverse environmental effects. 

 

October 10, 2023 – Indigenous Services Canada intends to make a determination regarding whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting public comments until November 10, 2023 respecting the determination.
