October 10, 2023 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed 20 Lots Development located in Kashechewan First Nation is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.

The Proposed Project

Kashechewan First Nation proposes the development of 20 lots with future use to build family homes for the community. The developed lots will be 929.03 meters squared in size. 

This project is located on undeveloped lands at the above coordinates. Site preparation will include:

  • Clearing, grubbing and granular placement; and
  • Servicing of lots including water and sewer lines, fire hydrants, hydro poles and power lines.
