West Moberly First Nations Solid Waste Management System Upgrades

West Moberly First Nation is upgrading their solid waste managment system. The project includes clearing and grading 2500m2 of treed land to expand the existing public works storage yard. The entire yard will be fenced.

July 19, 2022 – Indigenous Services Canada has determined that the proposed West Moberly First Nations Solid Waste Management System Upgrades is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

The determination was based on the following factors:

The proposed project will improve solid waste management in the community.
No comments were received from the public about the project.
Mitigation measures required for the project will be implemented through the Environmental Management Plan.
