Pic River Roads Rehabilitation

This project will rehabilitate and widen approximately 4 km of Access Road and 1.7 km of Pic River Road including repavement, drainage and culvert replacement, traffic calming devices, improved sidewalks/walking trails along the road and a bus pull-over.
Project update - March 14, 2021:
- Road rehabilitation and widening along Access Road (850m) and Pic River Road (1.9km). Pulverize existing asphalt, repair and improve base as required, widen to 6.5m and resurface with hot mix asphalt. Improve drainage with ditching and culvert replacements.
- Addition of pedestrian trails either adjacent to the road surface or separate from the road. Construction will consist of a granular base and hot mix asphalt surface. Trails to be added along Access Road, Pic River Road, and Rabbit Road.
- Traffic calming, pedestrian safeguards, and signage replacement will be incorporated throughout the areas of the road rehabilitation and trail additions.
- The entire project is scheduled to occur in the Summer of 2021 and there is no anticipated carry-over into 2022.
- Colliers Project Leaders is retained for Project Management Services and TBT Engineering has been retained as the Design Consultant.
