The Department of National Defence (DND) is proposing the construction of a training facility at 3rd Canadian Division Support Base (CDSB) Edmonton. The Land Vehicle Crew Training System (LVCTS) project will be a stand-alone facility which will house a simulator hall, control and command rooms, classrooms, after action review rooms and training planning and development rooms, as well as simulation system and facility system support rooms.

The project site is located on a fully serviced lot that is currently a sports field (baseball diamond) and fully grassed. The building design will meet the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver Standard and be certified. The building will utilize existing roadways for access and will be connected to existing utilities.
