Tracadie Rivers Link Channel Project (Archived)

New Brunswick

Description: The Corporation du Développement des Deux Rivières Tracadie has submitted a proposal to construct and dredge a channel in Tracadie-Sheila, in the northern part of the province, to establish a sheltered link and improve access between the two Tracadie Rivers.

Decision of the Minister of the Environment: On November 25, 1998, following a review of public comments and the environmental assessment report, the Minister concluded that the project is unlikely to cause significant adverse environmental effects and referred the project back to the responsible authority for appropriate next steps.
