CBSA's Residential Storage Tank Replacement
This is a non-designated project on federal lands or outside Canada. The listed authorities are responsible for the project assessment.
This project will replace 3 diesel storage tanks at Beaver Creek Point of Entry Resident houses 4/5, 6/7 and 8/9 to meet the standard of CAN/CSA-B139-19 Installation code for Oil Burning Equipment. This will include installing concrete foundations and curbs under each tank. The tanks are a separate system and are not registered with Environmental Canada. Each tank has a capacity of 2270L and tanks of similar capacity will be reinstalled.
Soil disturbance is likely during the installation of a new cement pad under the new tanks and will require additional mitigation measures as the Site Status on the Federal Contaminate Sites Inventory for Beaver Creek Border Crossing is listed as Active.
