Hello,

To whom it may concern, I would like to share that I am opposed to the proposed Beaver Dam gold mine.

The impact on endangered species, such as the mainland moose, wood turtle, Atlantic salmon, and other flora and fauna, will be negative. The detrimental impacts of habitat loss, degradation, and fragmentation cannot be underestimated.

Particularly, the destruction of wetlands, or damage to them, will negatively impact plants, animals, and humans. Wetlands are important in helping with the impacts of climate change (the recent rainstorms and flooding in Nova Scotia looking to be a sign of what's to come), supporting numerous species, and are an important (and disappearing) part of our landscape.

Gold is not a necessity. Please reconsider this proposed mine.

Thank you,
Elizabeth
