Hope all stops in further mining development in the Elk Valley. This once pristine valley is now a pool of nitrates , selenium  and  sediment, dead fish and groundwater contaminated  by this industry.

To allow more and Not Have TECK clean up its mess (probably an impossible reality) will allow one of the greatest environmental  damages to continue occurring.

I understand the wealth the industry brings to the Elk Valley, however I do not see how TECK can sell billions in coal and not take responsibility for this valley and those areas the Elk River feeds. This finally ends up in Kookanusa, Kootenay lake, Columbia River and finally into the US  where enviromental research has shown 10 to 20 X increases  of these toxic chemicals.

  SO WHO IS RESPONSIBLE.

Regards, Dr. Rollie Romanchuk  BSc(Hon enviromental physiology), Doctor of Dental  Surgery.
