Bloodvein First Nation CFS Prevention Building – Public Comments Invited

August 14, 2024 Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed CFS Prevention Building, located in Bloodvein First Nation is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

The Proposed Project

Construction of a new First Nation Child and Family Services (FNCFS) capital asset to be used as a prevention building where children, youth, adults and Elders will come to share and learn about our heritage and customs as Anishinabe people.

20,032 SF building size ( 8 offices for staff and visiting professionals. Large central gathering space, cultural room, visiting rooms for family assessment and therapy, and reunification visits, large teaching kitchen, educational space, space for youth and afterschool programming, multi-use meeting space and a mini gym.)
