YVR North Runway Lighting Upgrades – Public Comments Invited
July 16, 2024 – The Vancouver Airport Authority must determine whether the proposed YVR North Runway Rehabilitation Project, located at Vancouver International Airport is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
To help inform this determination, the Vancouver Airport Authority is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

The Vancouver Airport Authority is proposing enhancements to the electrical infrastructure for edge lights along the North Runway (Runway 08L-26R) at Vancouver International Airport (YVR). The project includes trenching new electrical ducting and pull-pits around the runway perimeter. The Airport Authority anticipates that construction for this proposed project will take place in summer and fall 2024, during the current nightly closure period for the North Runway.
