The Proposed Project

New Fibre Installation

Swan River First Nation (SRFN) plans to install underground fiber optic cabling, for Internet purposes, on and near the Swan River 150E reserve. This part of the project involves the installation of approximately 31.3 km of underground fiber optic cable from the SRFN Band Office to the furthest home in the north of the reserve area.

The cable is to be buried by directional drilling, trenching, or using existing conduits, or a combination of these methods in existing roadway alignments.
