Notice of Intent to Make a Determination

Saskatchewan Indigenous Enterprise Foundation Inc. Southern Office Complex - Public Comments invited

January 4, 2024 - Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed Saskatchewan Indigenous Enterprise Foundation Inc. Southern Office Complex, to be located on Lot 19 Plan 112422, NE 1/4 Sec. 20-17-20, W.2 M, is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination.

Proposed Project

Saskatchewan Indian Equity Foundation (SIEF) is proposing a four tenant single floor commercial strip mall on the urban reserve of Saulteaux Junction Zagime IR No. 74-6. The proposed development includes a 743.2 S.M./8000 S.F building, asphalt parking lot, landscaped grass, concrete curbs, rubber curb-stops, concrete sidewalks and roadway access. The development will be utilizing the existing septic system on the property.

Site is currently undeveloped agricultural land that is part of a 105.2 hectare business park developed by Four Horse Development, the economic arm of Zagime Anishinabek on the western boundary of the City of Regina.
