The Proposed Project

The Department of National Defence (DND) has proposed a project which consists of the installation of two emergency generators protected by a shelter. The fuel system will be under the shelter and will be connected to the generators. The capacity of the petroleum storage system must be sufficient to power the generators for at least 48 hours and will be more than 5,000 liters. The concrete paving will be removed to allow the passage of underground electrical conduits and then put back on site.

Following this work, it is planned to redevelop the park and reforest the areas affected by the cutting of ash trees in 2023. The development includes repair and straightening the structure of the boardwalk and its deck along the exterior Louise basin, highlighting and revegetating the site.
