Notice of Determination

Québec – November 20, 2023 – Indigenous Services Canada has determined that the proposed project of Development of new subdivisions along Lac Simon is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

This determination was based on the following factors :

• Technically and economically feasible mitigation measures.

Implementation of mitigation measures is required fort the project to adress:

• Vegetation protection
• Wetland protection
• Soil protection
• Air protection
• Waste management
• Drainage protection

Indigenous Services Canada is satisfied that that the carrying out of the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

Consequently, Aboriginal Services Canada may exercise its powers or provide financial assistance to enable the project to proceed, in whole or in part.
