October 30, 2023 - Infrastructure Canada and Fisheries and Oceans Canada must determine whether the proposed Main Beach Armour Stone Project, located in Old Perlican, Newfoundland and Labrador is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Infrastructure Canada and Fisheries and Oceans Canada are inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments will be considered public. Proposed Project

The project consists of placing ~1350 m3 of armour stone to build up the seawall on the main beach in the Town of Old Perlican, NL. The project aims to keep the beach from flooding the main road that provides access to the fish plants.
