October 11, 2023 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed Airport Heights Subdivision in Attawapiskat First Nation is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.

The Proposed Project

Attawapiskat First Nation proposes a lot servicing project, with the first phase focusing on preliminary design and preliminary site development. This will open up a maximum of 28 serviced residential lots in the proposed Airport Heights Residential Subdivision over the next two (2) to five (5) years.
