The National Research Council of Canada (NRC) is proposing the construction of a parking lot and landscaping project at the Building M38. The project is part of the second phase of the acoustic facilities consolidation, currently located in multiple location across the NRC campus. The facility is a flexible and modular research building (m38) that will be used to fit-up short-term research programs.  The proposed project would take place on National Research Council Canada (NRC) owned lands (building m38), but is subject to a federal land use, design, and real estate transaction approval under the National Capital Act. The project consists of the construction of a parking lot (asphalt), a sidewalk and drop-off driveway on the front entrance of the building, and a landscaping plan. No vegetation removal is anticipated for this project. The project work would take approximately two years from start to completion (September 2023 to July 2025).
