Notice of Time Limit Resumption

Ottawa — December 22, 2022 — On December 12, 2022, Canada Nickel Company (the proponent) provided its response to the Summary of Issues and Detailed Project Description for the Crawford Nickel Project to the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada (the Agency). On December 22, 2022, the Agency accepted these documents as it determined that they contained the information prescribed by the Information and Management of Time Limits Regulations. The proponent thereby completed the activity for which the proponent requested that the time limit be suspended on October 17, 2022, and the 180-day time limit has resumed as of December 12, 2022.

The 180-day time limit is the period of time within which the Agency must provide the proponent with a notice of the commencement of the impact assessment, if the Agency decides that an impact assessment of the project is required.
