Notice of Time Limit Extension

Ottawa – August 4, 2022 – On July 29, 2022, the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada (the Agency) granted an extension to the three-year time limit for Joyce Direct Iron Inc. (the proponent) to provide the required information or studies described in the Final Environmental Impact Statement Guidelines for the environmental assessment of the Joyce Lake Direct Shipping Iron Ore project.

The Agency has taken this action further to a written request from the proponent that the time limit be extended by three-years and four-months. The reasons for the Agency's determination are provided in its response to the proponent.

The new deadline for the proponent to provide the required information or studies described in the Final Environmental Impact Statement Guidelines is December 31, 2025.
