Replacement and reinforcement of steel elements for the rehabilitation of the Pont de Québec (2022) – public comments invited

2022/02/16 – Transports Canada must determine whether the proposed project, the replacement and reinforcement of steel elements for the rehabilitation of the Pont de Québec, in Québec City, is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Transport Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public (and may be posted online). For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.

The project

The project takes place on and under the structure of the Pont de Québec at multiple locations. The work aims to repair the structure of the road and rail deck and the superstructure.

The work requires the installation of suspended scaffolding on and under the bridge structure. Following this, repair and replacement work can take place. There are no concrete works in this project.
