The project

Air Inuit is proposing an expansion of the hangar at the Kuujjuaq airport. The dimensions of the new building are approximately 38 x 34 m which is added to the existing structure.

A new tank will replace the existing tank to meet the needs of both buildings. The existing oil tank connected to the existing building's heating system will be replaced with one with a larger capacity.

There will be excavation work for the foundations of the expansion. The excavation volume is approximately 500 m3. The planned machinery is:

- a concrete mixer

- a 50T crane, will be used to erect the new building

- two lifting platforms

The work is scheduled for June 2022 to December 2022.
