Notice of Intent to Make a Determination

Horse Lake First Nation Lot Servicing Phases 2 and 3A – Public Comments Invited
October 6, 2021 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed Horse Lake First Nation Lot Servicing Phases 2 and 3A, located in Horse Lake, Alberta is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from thepublic respecting that determination.

The Proposed Project

Horse Lake First Nation (the Client) is planning to construct and service eight (8) new lots at Horse Lake, AB to accommodate its growing population. The lots will be constructed on a 2.33 ha area within an undeveloped field. Each proposed lot will be approx 30m x 45m in size. The lot infrastructure has a life expectancy of 60 years. The Client is planning to install/build new homes on the lots once the project is finished.
