The Proposed Project

The Department of National Defence (DND) is proposing to perform pavement reconstruction throughout the existing Assoro Crescent and Sicily Drive roads. Approximately 2,700 and 4,900 of asphalt will be removed from Sicily Drive and Assoro Crescent, respectively. The work includes the removal of existing asphalt full depth, restoring positive crossfall/grades with additional granular and repaving with new asphalt to suit the existing asphalt width on Assoro Crescent and Sicily Drive. Ditch and crossing culverts cleanouts will be performed to improve local drainage. The storm and sanitary manhole lids will be adjusted/levelled to suit the new grade. This work is restricted to the existing road area.
