Notice of determination for the Pelican Lake First Nation Gas Bar Upgrade

July 12, 2021 - Indigenous Services Canada has determined that the proposed Pelican Lake First Nation Gas Bar Upgrade is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

The determination was based on a consideration of the following factors:

-the upgrade of the Pelican Lake First Nation Gas Bar will provide continued revenue, employment and training opportunities for members of the community
 -an updated emergency response plan will be submitted prior to the operation of the Gas Station
-the fuel storage tanks are registered with Environment and Climate Change Canada
-the operation will be in compliance with all applicable Federal Regulations

Indigenous Services Canada is satisfied that the carrying out of the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
