Public Comment Period on Intent to Make a Determination

2021-05-07 - Infrastructure Canada must determine whether the proposed Moose Cree Sewage System Rehabilitation Project, located in the Moose Cree First Nation Reserve, is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Infrastructure Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public [and may be posted online]. The Proposed Project:

Construct a lined sludge dewatering area to the west of the existing lagoon cells, remove sludge from the 3 existing sewage lagoon cells and place sludge in the dewatering area, upgrade the existing sewage lagoon by installing a new aeration system in all 3 cells, construction of Submerged Attached Growth Reactor (SAGR) cells to the east for additional sewage treatment, investigation of the inflow and infiltration in the gravity sewer collection system.
