The Proposed Project

The project consists of modifying the ice booms at km 10 and 15 in the Beauharnois Canal. There will be the replacement of the floating components (pontoons and buoys) with more secure components: yellow colors, with reflective bands and flashing lights. There is no change of place or number of floats. The components will be mounted on the bank with a barge and attached to the existing anchors.
