Notice of determination for the Yorkton Tribal Council Child & Family Services Office Building

 March 1, 2021 - Indigenous Services Canada has determined that the proposed Yorkton Tribal Council Child & Family Services Office Building is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

 The determination was based on a consideration of the following factors:

 -Kahkewistahaw First Nation applied for ISC's CORP funding for this project

 -no comments were received from the public about the project

 -mitigation measures are required for the project

 

 Implementation of the following mitigation measures is required for the project:

 -waste will be taken to an off-site landfill

 -facility will be hooked up to municpal services

 -refueling best practices to prevent spills will be followed on site

 -site access will be limited to authorized workers with adequate training

 

 Indigenous Services Canada is satisfied that the carrying out of the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
