Meaford Harbour Fuel Tank System Installation - 2021 – Public Comments Invited

February 4, 2021 – Fisheries and Oceans Canada must determine whether the proposed Meaford Harbour Fuel Tank System Installation  project located in Meaford, ON is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Fisheries and Oceans Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

The Proposed Project

The Municipality of Meaford, with support from Fisheries and Oceans Canada's Small Craft Harbours branch, is planning to install two (2)new aboveground fuel storage tanks and fuel dispensing systems at the Meaford Harbour, located on 3 St. Vincent St, Meaford, ON N4L 1A1. The fuel storage tanks, 1 gasoline and 1 diesel, will each have a capacity of 4,500L.
