The Proposed Project

The Neyaskweyahk Group of Companies Inc. (NGCI) and Neyaskweyahk Sundancer LP (the "Proponent"), with the full support of the Ermineskin Cree Nation (ECN) is proposing to construct and operate a solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant and to interconnect the power plant to the Alberta Interconnected Electric System. The proposed solar farm is Phase 2 of the Neyaskweyahk Sundancer Solar Project ("NSSP", "the Project") and is located adjacent to the existing 0.99 MW Sundancer Solar farm (Phase 1), which was commissioned in March 2020. Phase 2 will generate an additional 1.01 MW of electrical power, for a total project capacity of 2.0 MW.

The Project will consist of solar photovoltaic modules, panel racking systems, internal access roads, cabling, electrical inverters, switchgear and connection to the existing transformer and other electrical related equipment installed as part of Phase 1.
