Notice of determination for the Montreal Lake Cree Nation & Little Red River Solid Waste Transfer Station & Decommissioning

November 3, 2020 - Indigenous Services Canada has determined that the proposed Montreal Lake Cree Nation & Little Red River Solid Waste Transfer Station & Decommissioning is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

The determination was based on a consideration of the following factors:

-the new solid waste transfer station will serve the communities of Montreal Lake Cree Nation and Little Red River, and be of benefit to the memberships
-review of design drawings and specifications
-no comments were received from the public about the project
-mitigation measures are required for the project

Implementation of the following mitigation measures is required for the project:

-minimal brush clearing

Indigenous Services Canada is satisfied that the carrying out of the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
