Notice of determination

2020-02-06 – Indigenous Services Canada has determined that the proposed Manitou and C Street Extensions and D Easement Project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects

The determination was based on a consideration of the following factors:

• Mitigation measures.

Implementation of mitigation measures is required for the project to address:

• Avoiding disturbance of migratory birds and their nests.
• Protection of water and fish habitat
• Public safety and well-being
• Protection of on-site vegetation
• Site restauration

Indigenous Services Canada is satisfied that that the carrying out of the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. Environmental effects that are within provincial jurisdiction would be addressed through provincial regulations.

Therefore, Indigenous Services Canada may carry out the project, exercise any power, perform any duty or function, or provide financial assistance to enable the project to be carried out in whole or in part.
