YQM – February 20th, 2020 – The Greater Moncton International Airport Authority has/have determined that the proposed Eliminating Bottlenecks and Enabling Growth at Greater Moncton Roméo Leblanc International Airport is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

This determination was based on a consideration of the following factors:

  • impacts on rights of Indigenous peoples;
  • Indigenous knowledge;
  • community knowledge;
  • comments received from the public; and
  • technically and economically feasible mitigation measures.

 

Mitigation measures taken into account for this determination are:

  • measures that will be outlined within applicable Watercourse and Wetland Alternation permit
  • GMIAA Environmental Management System standards
  • Environmental contractor (3rd party) oversight

 

The Greater Moncton International Airport Authority is satisfied that that the carrying out of the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

Therefore, the Greater Moncton International Airport Authority may carry out the project, exercise any power, perform any duty or function, or provide financial assistance to enable the project to be carried out in whole or in part.

Notice of Determination

February 20th, 2020 – The Greater Moncton International Airport Authority issued its Notice of Determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
