ADM Kahnawake Grain Terminal (Archived)

Description: Archer Daniels Midland Company has submitted a proposal to build new grain transshipment facilities on land in the Kahnawake Indian Reserve, situated alongside the St. Lawrence Seaway adjacent to Sainte-Catherine.

Decision of the Minister of the Environment: On October 2, 1997, following a review of public comments and the environmental assessment report, the Minister concluded that the project is unlikely to cause significant adverse environmental effects and referred the project back to the responsible authorities for appropriate next steps.
