Lac Doré Vanadium Mine Project –
Termination of Environmental Assessment

On June 22, 2012, the Minister of the Environment terminated the environmental assessment of the proposed Lac Doré Vanadium Mine project in Quebec. The project was referred to a panel review in April 2004.

The proponent, currently PacificOre Mining Corp., has indicated that it does not plan to proceed with the environmental assessment process at this time. Fisheries and Oceans Canada, the responsible authority, has confirmed that it will not exercise a power or perform a duty or function in relation to the project.

The proponent may apply to commence a new environmental assessment process if it determines that it wants to proceed with the project proposal.
